Hydraulic Technician/Body Installer

Technicians/Installers play a critical role in output of new units to customers and the service for customers.   • Installation of new equipment bodies on chassis
  • Doing Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) checks and initial system setups.
  • Installing PTO and hydraulic pumps onto chassis and engines.
  • Welding.
  • Low voltage wiring.
  • Trouble shoot, repair, install, and perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical maintenance & repair on various models of light duty/compact construction equipment and attachments in the shop.
  • Program, update and calibrate on-board control systems.
  • Focus on key processes such as providing support to customers, the assembly team, the service team as well conducting general technician housekeeping duties.
  • Perform daily duties in a manner conducive to a safe workplace.
  • Participate in all required Health & Safety training.


  • Ideally 3-5 years experience in hydraulic components including cylinders, piston pumps, vane and gear pumps, hosing and valve banks
  • Basic manual machining skills are an asset
  • Welding capabilities are preferred (Mig/Tig/Arc/Braze)
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Journeyman or equivalent trade certification (i.e. Millwright/Industrial Mechanic/Heavy Equipment or Automotive Mechanic
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Detail oriented with ability to work independently
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • A complete basic set of tools required
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
  • Team player coupled with solid troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to assess and estimate times for rebuild work
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be in good physical condition
